"Your Hiring" implies employment and a paying job and it is not. Sorta doing what you also claim not to be doing - being misleading.

from craiglist ad

"This is a volunteer position. Opportunity for longer placement can be discussed. It is understood that this is a workplace practicum, which is an extension of your classroom training. This is not an employment opportunity. Advisor Websites is not making/setting any false claims/expectation that this practicum would lead to employment with the company."

Thanks so much for this. Lemon
Capital is a private equity found provider that helps small to medium business

This organization has been a great rallying point for many firms to discover integration opportunities. Likewise it is a fantastic starting point for advisors and firms performing due diligence for technology purchases. Integration is absolutely the addition to today's technology recipe that can provide significant return on investment. Especipally in data intensive areas like CRM, data aggregation, websites and social media. Great to see this highlighted!

I seriously doubt the problem is lack of understanding and more to do with no one wanting to be the first to fully jump in the water and swim alone. For the exec who gets it wrong, it's like wearing a big red bulls eye in a market where banks are letting staff go by the boatload.

While it's disappointing sure, it is a toe in the water for an industry that walks a fine line between ideal social behavior and FINRA regulation realities. Keep in mind, the Regs for social aren't really written for social. They are interpreted from regs written for email and advertising. The boundaries are never fully clear in areas like this until someone sticks their head out too far and goes to court.

Social is clearly a top priority with Financial Services marketers right now but the level of risk + hurdles of governance = baby steps. I doubt any major investment bank is going to go from zero to a fully open/social model (unless they are following the herd).

Well said. Sad that many companies are still stuck in the 90's with regards to social media and their attitude towards new media.
Mobiles are soon to take over PC's in the connectivity race.

Wonder what companies who still cold call and cheese off expats on the phone are going to do when this practice is outlawed in their own region, like some countries in the UAE are starting to do already.

Time to get those heads out of the sand and get plan B on the drawing board !

Cheerio,
Dan

Morgan Stanley's brokerage management are clueless in a lot of things. Overpaid brokers are "managers" in name only. They provide no management nor training to any of the new advisors. One of the most lame companies ever. I would guess the failure rate of new FA's is 75% mainly due to poor training and very poor management.

Nice arguments here. Must agree that understanding how to use this influential media online according to your business specifics is vital. Strategy campaign and such should be carefully considered as much patience is required. :-) software development

Thanks Gary, and I agree as well. I went to the doctor a couple months ago, and my doctor had an old school touch screen computer that was mounted to the wall. I was seeing him because I had knee problems, so my mobility was limited. It would have been much easier for him to hand my an iPad, instead of making me hobble over to where is computer was positioned.
